Your examination will be carried out to the highest standards using the latest technology in one of our three air conditioned consulting rooms.

With our COMPREHENSIVE EXAMINATION (£32 or £12 to NHS Eligible patients) retinal photography, examinations with dilation (drops) and extended visual fields examinations will be included when recommended by our Optometrists, at no extra charge

Retinal Photography is amongst the latest equipment available to optometrists.  It enables a digital picture to be taken of the Retina (the back of the eye) which can be looked back at over time and more subtle changes can be viewed.  This is especially useful for checking changes at the back of the eye, including glaucoma, retinal detachments, diabetic changes, macular changes and blood pressure changes over time.

Dilation is used where patient’s pupils are too small or a better view is required (such as diabetics). This will not be required unless advised by your Optometrist.

Extended Fields Examinations are used to give a more enhanced look at your visual fields patterns. An industry standard Humphrey field’s analyser would be used, and a number of different types of examination are on offer for the Optometrist to choose the best test for your needs.
